10% of the proceeds to benefit
Susan G. Komen for the Cure

The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.

Because early detection is the best protection against breast cancer, Komen Maryland sponsors grants that increase the number of women and men who have annual mammograms and clinical breast exam screenings.  Komen grants target the entire range of breast health services from transportation to appointments and financial support to clinical trials and national research to find the cures.

Last fiscal year, Komen Maryland awarded $1.1 million in local grants for education, screening, and treatment programs targeted towards the medically underserved, $500,000 for national research conducted in Maryland, and $700,000 for the National Award and Research Grant Programs. The $2.3 million total is the largest amount ever granted by Komen Maryland.  Komen Maryland was recently awarded “Affiliate of the Year” by Komen national out of more then 125 affiliates in the world.  Susan G. Komen for the Cure also holds four out of a possible four stars from Charity Navigator.

All proceeds from a Walt Disney World
vacation raffle to benefit Cool Kids Campaign

The mission of the Cool Kids Campaign is to provide kids with cancer a higher quality of life for themselves and their families while facing the challenges of cancer. From the beginning we have always made it our goal to have a direct impact on the children fighting cancer. In 2006, when we were trying to decide on a name for our new foundation, we tried to keep in mind that kids are kids regardless if they are sick or healthy. Hence, the Cool Kids name. Every kid wants to feel cool even if they don't feel well.

Every day, as we decide how to help these kids and best use our donated dollars we make our decisions based on whether our actions will directly affect a child and make them forget, at least for a little while, that they are fighting for their lives.

We are proud to be the publishers of the Cool Kids Connection. This one-of-a-kind newspaper goes out to each hospital that treats childhood cancer. The paper is full of the information that the kids send us, about cancer, about being a kid, anything they want to read about.

Care packages are sent directly to the patients at their homes.  Each care package is custom made based on the wish list the children fill out and send to us.  These packages are sent to children across the country.

Buy your raffle ticket today and support Cool Kids by calling 410-560-1770 or visiting them at www.coolkidscampaign.org.
